SOLAR ENERGY financing

18.03.2021

The increasing number of solar power plants in front of our eyes speaks of the fact that solar energy has become available to everyone today, and among a number of contributing factors, it is necessary to single out the flexible financing conditions for the development of solar systems.

The country also promotes the development of the solar energy sector that is why the law of reciprocity has been in force since 2016, which regulates the relationship between ENA CJSC and the autonomous energy producer. As a result, autonomous power producers are able not only to accumulate and use the electricity produced by their system, but also to sell surplus electricity at half of the current tariff.

Today, solar systems can be purchased with cash, credit and leasing options. But here the banking terms for buying a solar system differ from the well-known terms of consumer loans.

The involvement of various international funds in the field of renewable energy is important here. Thanks to German-Armenian GAF, EBRD, GEFF, R2E2 and a number of other similar funds, Armenian commercial banks have the opportunity to provide affordable soft loans starting from 8.5% annually.

If you decide to buy the system on credit or leasing, due to preferential banking terms, the monthly payment amount is almost equal to your monthly electricity consumption fee. So it will not add an additional financial burden on consumers, which is another incentive tool for switching to solar energy.
